		<title>Miles Reaches Washington DC</title>
		<description><![CDATA[
Local lad, Miles Copeland, has reached Washington DC in his latest challenge to cycle across America, in aid of The Butterwick Hospice in Bishop Auckland.
Miles joined us at our Annual 60 Hour Marathon Broadcast to talk about his challenge to cycle the 3,500 miles. With nothing more than his trusty bicycle and a tent he hopes to raise more than 3,500 pound for palliative care within Bishop Auckland.
It hasn&#8217;t been an easy ride for the 24 year old. He contacted the hospice from Washington to update them on his progress:

		<title>Marathon Concludes For Another Year</title>

Auckland Hospital Radio&#8217;s Annual 60 Hour Marathon Broadcast is over for another year, and what a ride it has been.
Chairman Craig Robinson said: &#8220;This is definately up for one of the best marathons we have ever done at the station&#8221;

		<title>Live Music Takes Over AHR</title>
		<description><![CDATA[Since 2pm this afternoon Auckland Hospital Radio has been broadcasting live music. We&#8217;ve hosted 7 different groups ranging from country singers to a local youth theatre and the music has been outstanding. Check out our photo gallery for pictures. Patients in the Bishop Auckland Hospital have the added benefit of being able to see the bands live at the bedsides. The live music will continue throughout the marathon.

		<title>Grand Prize Draw</title>
		<description><![CDATA[Auckland Hospital Radio&#8217;s annual Grand Prize Draw will be drawn on Sunday 11th July at 11am. Volunteers from the station are in Morrisons Supermarket in Bishop Auckland today to sell tickets.
Prizes include a DAB Radio, DeWalt Drill, Spa Days, Gym Memberships and much more. Tickets are only £1 per book and all proceeds go towards keeping Auckland Hospital Radio&#8217;s service available to the patients, staff and visitors of Bishop Auckland Hospital.

		<title>Miles Copeland Fundraing Event</title>
		<description><![CDATA[Today as part of the 60 Hour Marathon broadcast Richard Smith interviewed Miles Copeland. Miles is aiming to raise  £3500 for Butterwick Hospice Care at Bishop Auckland, Stockton and the Childrens Hospice, by circumnavigating the globe.  
He is doing this as a solo bicycle ride from New York to Washington DC and then across to Los Angeles on the west coast of the United States. 
The route is 3500 miles and he is aiming do it within 5 weeks. You can support Miles directly on his Just Giving Site
